The translation of legal texts requires specialist legal translators,
as such documents are generally beyond the capabilities of "general
purpose" translators with no legal background.
The International Language Company in conjunction with its sister company Pacific International Translations (NZ) Ltd, has experienced legal translators in most major languages, either qualified Australian, New Zealand or foreign language lawyers, or professional translators who have developed their expertise in legal translation over many years.
All translations of legal texts, be they contracts, court documents, judgements or opinions, undergo a quality control check by a second translator to ensure professional standards are maintained.
The International Language Company also offers a selective translation
service where the translation of the full document is not required
or would not be warranted. This involves the translation of
selected sections of the document, either identified directly
by the client or by our translators from criteria provided by
the client.
