The key step in producing professional quality technical translations, be they reports, brochures, specifications or manuals, is selecting the right translator(s) for the job.
As obvious as this may seem, it is not always easy given the range of languages and technical fields a translation company needs to cover.
The International Language Company, however, is fortunate to
have available several hundred experienced technical translators,
through its own database and that of its sister company, Pacific
International Translations (NZ) Ltd. As such, we will almost
always have several people available for any specific job and
are thus able to select the most appropriate person(s) for the
particular technical field of the assignment.
Technical translations can be completed in whatever format or programme clients require, either by overtyping the source language text in the original file or by typesetting the foreign language text and outputting to digital and/or hard copy.
The International Language Company is also experienced at managing
larger technical translation projects involving several translators
and/or languages, where the key issues are the management of
production processes to ensure deadlines are met, and maintaining
consistency of terminology and style throughout the various
documents.
